A clear sky after the storm. Seeing everything in the sun with crystal clear light was very special after the rain and mist yesterday.

Barley Bay Mizen Head
The plan was to leave our bags at the lodge and cycle down to Mizen Head to enjoy stunning views with regular stops to relax – a kind of active rest day.

Baltimore Ireland – it is early in the morning and I went outside to take photographs before breakfast.
Some photographs of the first couple of days
We started our trip in Cork and ended it there. We walked into town on both days. Throughout the holiday we were impressed by the careful colouring of the houses.
We took the risk, weather wise, and went to Ireland. The weather held and we cycled over 600 miles. Lynne and I are still talking to each other and we did not get a puncture!
