Knock International Airport

Filed under: General — Mike Chapman @ 8:05 pm

We flew to Knock International airport. The first signs that this was a Roman Catholic shrine appeared as we were waiting to get off the plane. There were many people who were waiting in their seats.

Knock Shrine

Normally there are just a few people doing this as the majority all stand up and queue to get off the flight and then queue to get their luggage. On this flight there were many more waiting in their seats. As we walked into the terminal we noticed that there were more wheel chairs than luggage trolleys. They were waiting for wheel chairs! On that evidence we paid 50 Euros to a taxi driver to take us to Castlebar. We asked the taxi driver how much would it cost, the reply was “not a lot”! We trusted him.
