Christmas at Padfield

Positives: I did not feel depressed, a booked flight to Portugal might have eased that problem. We were all moderately healthy apart from my father who could not speak but he seamed cheerful enough.

Christmas can be a stressful time but we seemed to cope with it, nobody snapped – I have in the past. It was not rainy and windy so we managed to get out of the house. We had a nice walk on Christmas day. Negatives: Sarah, Mark, Isabel and Claudia were not there. I could not find the footpath around a reservoir near Bradfield. By the time we had got to the café at lower Bradfield they had run out of leek and potato soup. So the positives overcame the negatives, I think. Next year a large house in the Cotswolds?
