Kate does not like this picture for at least seven reasons, she listed them!.
Family are easily fooled, light a fire, get out some sparklers and they think it is November the 5th.

The trees were thinned or in the horse chestnuts’ case were cut back in their prime. What to do with the debris? There was only one feasible plan, burn it all and preferably before it got wet and soggy. Started at 7.30pm finished at 9:30pm and all the time doing something, dragging branches, hosing the hedge down to stop it burning and grabbing hold of nettles in the dark. It was only as we were finishing the job and pulling on brambles, in the mistaken belief that they were branches, that I had the bright idea of putting on gloves. This type of forgetfullness worries me. As I type this and the alcohol floods to the brain my tingling fingers remind me of my stupidity. Susan, my cousin, said she grabs nettles with her hands, maybe it runs in the family? Other thoughts that come to mind; it was three years ago since the trees were thinned and as I felt the heat burn my face I marvelled at how those green leaves had captured so much of the sun’s energy. OK I have got a cold and am feeling a bit light headed!

kate - you look sweet in them pics!!!!!!
