  • Wet June

    wet pond.jpg

The mill pond at the end of the garden. It feels as if it has looked like this for weeks.

The weather was better today the rain was not heavy and it was warm. I cycled up the Woodhead across to Strines and back over the Snake pass – it rained the whole time. I cycled to work three times during the week and got wet twice. What made the situation worse was it was 8 degrees C in the morning that meant winter gloves and two shirts and a windproof. I have not used my camera for a while as I remember when I used, a now defunct, camera in Ireland when it was raining – It oveheated and burnt out.

We went to see the Andy Goldsworthy exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It was great but what I will remember most is the poppies.
