We went for a short and slow walk. I have a knee, that I now suspect, needs a considerable period of rest and Lynne’s knee needs a careful return to full exercise.

Lynne and I made trip to London. I needed to visit the BETT Exhibition at Olympia (IT things to do with Education) and we combined it with a visit to Sarah and Mark at Clapham Common and then on to Wimbledon to see Al and Annie. All on public transport! I forgot to mention on our walk on Wimbledon common where we spotted a pair of parakeets squawking and showing off bring green plumage. A first for me in Britain.

The weather was changing as we walked in Swallow’s wood. The clouds suggested that the cold spell was close to being over.
No depression for me this year! Even though I cannot cycle – a knee problem – the cold weather and a lot of sunshine meant that I could be outside with a camera.
I put some of the family’s photographs on-line a few months ago. Over Christmas we looked at them again and I realised that I had not completed the job. My father had them scanned and a few of these have a lot of dirt on them or the colours are wrong. I have spent some time adjusting them using Photoshop. I notice that I frequently had a camera in my hand and that it should have been no surprise that I took up climbing after looking at some of the shots of me on the beach an in the mountains.
