Swallows Wood

Filed under: General — Mike Chapman @ 9:34 pm

A Spring day. I went for a run before brunch and a walk in the afternoon. I saw Colts foot, Wood-sorrel and a lot of catkins. Dead frogs were crushed on the roads and there is frog spawn in the ponds. The road kill was excessive – owl, rabbit, fox and hare – on the Snake Pass, I am not sure why. Lapwing and Curlews are doing their thing and Canada geese are ubiquitous and should be culled.

Thistlegorn Second visit

Filed under: General — Mike Chapman @ 8:29 pm

My last visit was with Ryan it was quite a day out. This was a lot calmer and with Andrew. We did not follow our guide but this is not a problem on a wreck as we could hardly get lost.
