Saturday Mesouga – Tinehir

An early start in the dunes – note length of shadow
As we walked towards the dunes at first light there was a few clouds. We headed for the largest dune that was about an hour away.
I took a few photographs in the evening and the morning.
Friday 28th N’Kob – Mesouga
I did two hours on the bike Av Heart rate 71% 19.8 Km/Hr

We were getting into the routine of early starts to avoid the heat. On the map it said cascades and had a green line a sure sign of good views.

Lynne cycling close to the Draa valley
We set the alarm for 6:30 hoping to get breakfast for 7:00. Surprisingly the day was a little misty. We passed a lunar landscape of black basalt.

Ait Benhaddou
We stayed in a hotel in Ouarzazate for the night and planned a ride for the next day. Our intention had been to cycle to Tamdaght and beyond. We left the car at Ait Benhaddou (a tourist spot) after driving past the film sets and headed up the valley. The road turned to piste very quickly and a rough one at that. (more…)
